“I weep for Narcissus”, the lake replied (2021)

Here I see sweet innocence is

soft ripples stringent

dandelion stems I am

untouched

clear waters sunken stone

play a game with shapes

hear knees rooted riverbank

all want no wanting

here skip softly

smooth stone

give me shape give me

no dandelion’s stem

I see sweetness in

dirt stained fingers trembling

pupils dilated wet against

touch my blue waters

gently so my shape is in

the rippling of your face
